Breast reduction surgery is the operation performed to restore the larger and sagging breasts to normal size and steepness. With the surgery, the skin, fat and breast tissue are removed from the large and saggy breasts; the breasts are made smaller, lighter, tight and upright.
Why does breast tissue grow?
Breast tissue grows due to hereditary features, hormonal changes, fibrocystic mastopathy, excess weight gain, post-pregnancy or breastfeeding.
What are the negative effects of the large chest?
• Breasts that are larger than normal cause great discomfort to the person physically and psychologically. Excessive breast size causes scars due to the pressure of the bra straps on the shoulders, chronic chest pain, head, neck, back and lower back pain, and posture disorder such as humpback.
• Numbness and loss of strength occur in the hands due to the compression of the arm and hand nerves on the shoulder. Excessive sweating, bad smell, friction-related rashes, eczema or fungal infections, wounds occur under the large breast tissue.
• It may be difficult to breathe, it causes limited physical activity and obesity due to not doing sports. Excessive breast creates difficulties in choosing clothes, causes social problems in women, makes her feel shy.
All these causes cause the woman to not like herself, psychological and social problems. Therefore, although breast reduction surgery seems to be one of the aesthetic surgeries performed to improve the woman's appearance, it actually eliminates many physical and psychological health problems. In breast reduction, the target should be primarily health.
