The Neck Lifting Operation
The Neck-Lifting Operation is applied for the treatment of problems such as sagging, wrinkles, thickness, and displacement in the neck area in older ages.
As a result of the ageing process, visible changes occur on tissues, skin and muscles such as sagging. Folds and fat are formed around the neck and under the jowl. Due to these significant transformations, changes occur on the face’ skin.
During the Neck-Lifting Operation, a cut is made on the front or rear side of the ear or lower side of the chin. Thus, the skin of the face and jowl get loose. Then the excess part of the skin is removed. If necessary, excess fat which is under the chin is also removed by using liposuction.
For better results, the Neck-Lifting and the Face-Lifting procedures are generally applied together. Usually, these both are planned in combination. the Neck-Lifting Operation is often performed under general anaesthesia.
As in many surgeries, there may occur some incisions in this procedure, but these incisions are made thus become hidden either on the lower part of the chin or behind the ear.
There may be some dull aches and edemas for several days after the Neck-Lifting operation.
